TIM ROSE is a professional painter who works mostly in watercolour and paints subjects which range from architectural studies to country house gardens. He is an experienced teacher and demonstrator and has exhibited widely, including both the Royal Institute of Watercolourists and the Royal Society of Watercolourists at their open shows.
 

TEACHING WATERCOLOUR PAINTING
"My approach to watercolour painting is based on direct observation from nature and life, with emphasis on drawing and understanding tonal and colour relationships. I encourage students to keep it simple, often using an appropriate, but limited palette of colours.

On my workshops I demonstrate techniques and approaches to painting and offer personal tuition aimed at helping each individual. My teaching is not proscriptive according to a ‘Tim Rose method’ but aim to move students forward and enable them to appraise their own work according to their personal aims.

I have been teaching for over 10 years at various venues in the midlands as well as Sheffield Galleries & Museums Trust"
